The Otaku Society is a place japan fans can feel at home, where cosplayers can feel slightly normal and where anime/manga lovers will love to be (i hope).
So as the 1st log entry to our little site i would like to put down,
1st club day Friday 07/11/08
the first thing that i had to do is run home as fast as me and the other co-president could to my house where i collected my manga, anime and some cosplay equipment, at the time my laptop and school bag had been hidden, left in school with the awaiting two members soon to be three.
We returned to school the other co-president's little sister (she isn't that little though) asked to come we were fair, of course wanted as much publicity as possible so we said yes, we returned to the society base room (school library) and said hello to the other members they were people we knew well so no itroductions were needed, i quickly got out my fruits basket dvd as the other co-pres got the big t.v screen remote and we watched episode 13 as i only brought volume 3, then we had a couple of laughs about how the series was funny but nothing compared to manga, that reminded me to get my manga out i brought with me fruits basket volume 2-6 as all of us had already read volume 1 as well vampire knight volume 1, last fantasy volume 1, DNAngel volume 1, Best of manga UK and Ireland volume 3 and Tokyopop sneaks.
After watching fruits basket and having a quick draw and a quiet read we got out my laptop and put on some music, soon after the other co-pres had discovered my carameldasen song. several seconds later we got my laptop into position, we got it to record the dancing which came out really terrible (next time i'll bring my camera). it was alot of fun we laughed for quite a long time and then we took the society member photo's as i will be making membership cards, then back to fruits basket, as soon as shigure reached the big screen i knelt down nudged myself towards the screen clapping like a seal arf arf, the male member came close to me and i started to scratch him saying he's mine! he's mine! shigure-san's mine! everyone laughed at that even me.
But we had alot of fun mostly singing fruits basket songs as well as dancing but altogether although there weren't many of us it was very fun and enjoyable.
